Now Lync Server 2010 has been presented and we have gained access to the Lync Server 2010 RTM, it’s time to get a closer look for a lot of people. While following the Lync Server launch event, and several insiders via their blogs and tweets, I have collected a nice set of information.
This post is a collection of some of these which I found the most impressive or informational.
Some good articles about Lync in general;
Good Microsoft Press article about Lync
Lync Client coming to Windows Phone 7
Microsoft Lync: the Pros and Cons for Enterprises
For the more curious people, some more architecture and enterprise voice information;
Phones and Devices qualified for Lync
Lync 2010 Workload Architecture
And last but not least, for our developers;
Developer Training kit available
Of course there are loads more information available, from general information to installation guides, however I found above information most informational.
Stay tuned on my blog for hands-on information, as I will install and configure Lync within at least a couple of customers of the company I work for, including challeging Enterprise Voice scenarios. I can’t wait for that!
Can you tell us something about the different versions of Lync and the corresponding licensing?
